FAQs

How many reformer classes should I do per week?

This comes down to the individual, what other movement are you doing, how many can you fit into your week. 1 is better than none and 3-4 a week you will feel those results. Everybody is different and it comes down to you and what feels good for your body.

How long are classes?

Our classes are 50 minutes long. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class begins.

How many people are in a class?

We are a small studio with 6 reformers. Having a small group means our instructors can work with individuals to cater for injuries, set challenges if you are needing that push, and offer extra support where needed.

What do I need to bring to class?

Please wear stretchy and comfortable clothing that allows you to move with ease. Socks are to be worn during the class for hygiene reasons. We recommend grippy socks as they do not feel slippery as you move on the reformer. These can be purchased in the studio prior to class if you wish. You may also bring a water bottle although we do have fresh water available.

Membership options

We have a range of memberships to suit your lifestyle. Concession cards have an expiry date and will need to be used between 2-4 months from date of purchase (depending on type), single class passes have an expiry date of 7 days. All Trial memberships (Begin @ Boost & $10 first class) expiry 2 weeks from purchase.

Weekly memberships will be direct debited every week.

Please see our website homepage or GymMaster app for more details.

How does the waitlist work?

Can I cancel my booking?

You are able to cancel your booking as long as you provide a minimum of 8 hours notice for the group and private classes. Classes cancelled inside this 8 hour period and not showing up to your booked class will be charged at full value. Classes can be cancelled via the GymMaster app or by texting 021 956 367.

Can I do Pilates while pregnant?

Yes, you can practice pilates safely while pregnant, please let your instructor know so we can adapt exercises to suit your needs. As you move through the trimesters of your pregnancy then you may need to come and meet the main instructor (Becky) to go over substitute exercises that you can use in other classes. We recommend avoiding booking jumpboard classes while pregnant.

Can I do Pilates with an injury?

Yes, you can. As our class sizes are small we can adapt the exercises to your needs and make changes to suit your ability. If the injury is major or it is unsafe for you to exercise, we recommend seeking professional help (physiotherapist, osteopath, etc) before returning to reformer pilates. If an instructor believes you are too injured to perform the exercises safely, you will be asked (at their discretion) to attend your classes at a later date. This is for your safety and to ensure your injury is not made worse. In your return to reformer pilates after a major injury we suggest attending a studio that focuses on rehabilitation reformer pilates (recommendations can be given on request).
